Recycling Milk Cartons
By Sheilamarie Nellis
Recycling Milk Cartons to Make Fun Kids' Projects There are lots of ways you can recycle a milk carton if you and your kids enjoy crafts. Here are a few ways to recycle your milk carton. 1. Make blocks 2. Make a house you can decorate with construction paper and glue -- go on, make a whole village! 3. Make a bird feeder 4. Make a planter 5. Make a coin purse 6. Make a windmill 7. Make a barn for toy animals 8. Make a lantern 9. Make a cover for tent pegs. This is helpful if you're one of those people who trips on tent pegs while camping in your yard and you have to get up in the middle of the night. 10. Fill with water and freeze. Put by a fan and use as a cooling device for a hot summer day. These are just a few gleanings from my website associated with this intel, where you can get more detailed instructions on how to do these projects. I have entered them here to spark your imagination. Of course you may have even better ideas which I hope you will share with me. Now, if you have all of those milk cartons, you must be a person who enjoys a glass of milk now and then. Don't worry, we all have our little vices. People say too much milk causes our bodies to produce an excess of phlegm. But I'm of the opinion that the strong bones and teeth from the quality calcium is well worth the extra expense of tissues. While we're on the subject, what ever happened to cloth handkerchiefs? My grandfather had a whole stash that had to be washed and ironed weekly. They came in handy for making little handkerchief bunnies. Remember them? I even have the directions for making them which I will share if this intel gets good marks. It's all up to you.
